DON'T CRY FOR ME, ARKANSAS

PROGRESSIVE REVIEW, 1998 Clinton's actions are "foolish," "reprehensible," and "maddeningly reckless." He has been "lying" and he is a "bum." Clinton "violated the trust of the American people, lessened their esteem for the office of President, and dishonored the office which they have entrusted to him." Clinton "made false statements concerning his reprehensible conduct with a subordinate" and "wrongly took steps to delay discovery of the truth." Clinton's testimony under oath was "evasive, incomplete, misleading [and] maddening." Clinton "violated his sacred obligations to his wife and daughter . . . misled his family, his friends, his colleagues and the public, and in doing so, he betrayed the trust place in him not only by his loved ones but by the American people." . . . These are just a few of the comments made by President Clinton's supporters.
