You realise, good people, that Shrub, Cheney, Addington, and Yoo claim the right to do this to you, your wife, or your children without charge or trial or habeas corpus,

Of course we do. Anyone with an IQ over 90 knows that at this point. Do you have any suggestions as to how we the people, who, unlike your gallery of evil, don't have control over the world's largest military, can do something about it?

You could, of couse, ignore the supplications of the twin corporate candidates and vote for Nader. Impossible for Nader to win? Not if enough Americans are concerned.

Who said, "Crime is merely the reflection of the larger society."?

Call me cynical if you like, but I don't believe for a second that Nader would survive to take office. He probably wouldn't even be alive by election day if the polls showed he was leading. At this point, there is no way to separate the billionaires from their money and its associated power to do whatever they like.

Please? If you do recognize that super-overfortunes do give the wealthpowerful the ability to torture and cannonfodder people, may I ask what causes you to conclude the above 'there is no way to separate billionaires from "their" money'?

I am researching why people say this and whether they *really* believe it's true. I'm Seriously interested in answers, and it will be Sincerely appreciated should you be willing and able to present your reasons. Thank-you kindly for any/all response.

The billionaires literally own every national politician in the country and have since shortly after Reagan took power. That means they have control over all the laws, including the election funding laws that allow this situation to exist. This has gone on long enough that their pet politicians have been able to appoint judges that only find in favor of the rich. They have purchased laws that require corporations to do nothing but make as much money as possible and that allow stockholders to sue the company anytime they can be shown to have overpaid their employees, cared too much for the environment and consumer safety at the expense of the bottom line, etc. Short of their own folly causing the world economy to collapse or some scientist finding a source of infinite free energy that the general public could access without corporate intervention, I don't see a way to end this cycle.

Now it's your turn, 1:33, to explain why you doubt this, and what you think could be done about it.
