DC: WHERE LIVING IS A MOVING VIOLATION

WUSA - D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier announced the Metropolitan Police Department would be deploying eleven new photo-enforced mobile radar detectors, or "speed cameras" at several locations throughout the city, beginning Monday. For the first 30 days the speed cameras are being used, drivers who are caught exceeding the posted speed limit will receive a warning citation. But starting December 26, regular speeding tickets will be issued to those caught speeding by the camera.
