NEARLY HALF OF U.S. CHILDREN ASSAULTED IN LAST YEAR
- Nearly half the children surveyed were assaulted at least once in the past year, and more than one in 10 were injured as a result.
- Nearly one-quarter of the children were the victim of a robbery, vandalism or theft.
- About 10% were victims of maltreatment (including physical and emotional abuse, neglect or a family abduction), and one in 16 were victimized sexually.

Meaningless without more information as to how these incidents were defined, how the data were collected, how the survey areas were selected, how many surveys were made. Why are we continually subjected to this propaganda bullshit as though there is meaningful content? Time for the media to start being critical in selecting and describing methodology instead of just parroting this crap.
Sounds to me like someone is more concerned with his culture's image than substance.
