GREAT NEW WEB SITE: Solutions Journal, a journal about some of the ways things could be that we haven't tried yet, or have been tried but most don't know about them.

DAILY KOS - In just a few weeks, the movement to counter the Tea Party Movement has grown from an idea of a few progressive friends sitting around talking to 28,000 members and chapters in major cities across the country. If you haven't heard about the Coffee Party Movement, its premise is that government is not the enemy of the people, but rather the collective will of the people, and that our elected representatives should serve us and not lobbyists. . . Supposedly, there are 110,000 Tea Party supporters in the assorted chapters across the country. If we can get to 28,000 in less than a month, where will be by November?

OVERHEARD IN NY - Coworker to another: As long as I keep on getting grilled brie and paté sandwiches and have a gold-plated bidet, I don't mind being broke.

OVERHEARD IN THE COMPUTER LAB AT COLUMBIA U: Girl, loudly in silent computer lab: Is Sunday one word or two?. . . Friend, avoiding glares from students around the lab: One? . . . Girl, showing friend Word document with "sun day" written in it: It doesn't say that I'm spelling it wrong.

Re:Coffee Party Movement, just what we need more strategy from functional morons like Kos who tell us 9/11 doesn't matter and pushed to give us Oscama. When they find out that gov't. isn't about fucking over anyone who disagrees with them they can call me back. Until then I'm sticking with Nader, McKinney, and Kuccinich.

Hope is an act of will, we can do better than least worst.

"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall -- think of it, ALWAYS."
